Our recorded tasting notes

Recorded tasting · September 14, 2026

Three tasters; one pod brewed black as an 8 oz serving in a Keurig K-Mini, with no milk, creamer or sweetener. This was an informal, nonblinded tasting. The panel’s preferences are subjective, not a measure of health benefits.

VitaCup Mushroom Coffee Pods

Bold and Full-Bodied

VitaCup produced another recognizable cup of coffee, but its flavor was more pronounced than Peak's smoother profile.

Our tasting notes: Bold and full-bodied with a stronger, more lingering finish.

It remained drinkable black, but our tasters found Peak more balanced and easier to imagine drinking every morning.

What stood out

  • Full-bodied
  • Bold coffee character
  • More pronounced finish
  • Less smooth to our panel than Peak

Our result: #3 pod in our tasting.
